I am proud to have my work shown alongside Maggi Hambling, Paula Rego and Antony Gormley, among others, in September 2021. Liquid Core, 2018, 70x50cm, was donated to the charity auction raising money for a much needed hydrotherapy pool for The Beehive, a treatment centre for adults with profound disabilities.
Exhibition 21-23 Sept 2021. Auction 23rd Sept 2021.

“I was delighted to be asked to donate a picture to this charity and for such a worthwhile cause. The work I'm donating is part of a series exploring my experience of caring for children, and seemed an appropriate piece to offer for the auction. One of my children has learning difficulties and this series on motherhood began as a way of processing and celebrating the particular challenge of caring for a child with special needs. The term special needs has a bitter-sweet ring to it, and in any context, however 'special' the needs, caring can be the hardest job and also the most rewarding.”

I wrote a piece about my cancelled Cornish exhibition for Unison Pastels.
ARTIST AMBASSADOR >>> In June 2020 I was made an Associate Artist for Unison Colour who make the wonderful soft pastels I love and use in my work all the time. To celebrate being elected their ambassador I organised a give-away on Instagram - a prize-draw of an original pastel drawing. The winner was announced and the drawing shown here went all the way to Canada!
IN THE GLOSSIES >>> I’m delighted to have my painting Port Isaac, Dolphin Street featured in House and Garden magazine July/August 2020 Double issue - out now!
RAISING MONEY for CHARLESTON >>>> I donated these two drawings to Charleston Inspires, an online auction organised by Emily Cross @emilymaudey in support of Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex held in June 2020
Charleston Inspires Online Auction in support of Charleston Farmhouse
Artists staying At Home >>>> is online this year. Please visit the page to view my work for sale.
This is an annual local event held across Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush and Chiswick, started, incidentally, by Mary Fedden & Julian Trevelyan, whose studios I now use.
During lockdown I’ve been posting work on my instagram feed and offering it up to the first bidder for £200 or less, plus postage. This has been part of a social media initiative set up by artist Matthew Burrows to support artists who - like me - have had their shows cancelled. The idea is that when I sell £1000 worth of work at £200, I pledge to buy a work by another artist taking part.
Follow me on instagram to see what I offer on the pledge.
